Getting started
Introduction
What Trace is, and where it fits in your server's moderation.
Trace is a forensic anti-cheat scanner for FiveM servers. When your own anti-cheat flags a player, Trace tells you what was actually running on that player's machine, and hands your staff a timestamped report with hashes they can act on.
A recording shows what a player did. It doesn't show what was loaded on their PC. Trace fills that gap: a scan is evidence, not testimony.
Where Trace fits
Trace does not replace your anti-cheat and does not sit inside your server. It's what your staff reach for after a detection, to turn a suspicion into a verdict.
- Your anti-cheat flags a player. Something suspicious trips the anti-cheat already running inside your server. That in-game detection is the trigger. Trace does not watch your server and does not sit in your resources.
- Staff make the user download the Trace scanner. A staff member tells the flagged player to download the scanner. There is no server-side resource to install and nothing to configure on your end.
- The player runs the scanner. It runs on their own machine, reads what FiveM loaded, sends it to your dashboard and exits. A few seconds, and nothing stays installed afterwards.
- You read the verdict. The finished report lands on your Trace dashboard: a verdict with a confidence score, every flagged artifact with its hash, and a timestamped log you can export.
Scans are unlimited
Every plan includes unlimited scans. There is no per-month scan ceiling.
What a scan gives you
- A verdict with a confidence score.
- Every flagged artifact, with its SHA-256 hash and a weight.
- A timestamped log of the scan you can export as JSON, CSV or PDF.
