Terms of Service

The rules for using Trace, buying a licence and keeping your account.

These terms are an agreement between you and Trace for the Trace website, dashboard and scanner (together, "Trace"). By creating an account or buying a licence, you accept these terms, the Privacy Policy and the End User Licence Agreement.

The service

  1. Trace is a forensic scanner for FiveM servers. When your own anti-cheat flags a player, your staff can ask that player to run the Trace scanner. Trace then reports what was running on their machine.
  2. A report is evidence, not proof. A clean report means nothing matched at the moment of the scan. Use reports alongside staff judgement.
  3. Moderation decisions, including bans and other account restrictions, are made by your server's staff. Trace is not responsible for bans or restrictions that anyone decides on using Trace.
  4. We may change, improve or discontinue parts of the service. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we tell customers first.

Accounts

  1. You need an account to use the dashboard. Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
  2. No sharing accounts or licences. A licence covers the staff seats of its plan, and nobody else.
  3. We can suspend or close any account that breaks these terms. Breaking them seriously or repeatedly means a permanent ban.

Licences and payment

  1. Prices are in euro, with tax added at checkout where it applies. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never reach Trace.
  2. Recurring plans renew automatically on the term you chose until you cancel. A lifetime licence is a single payment with no renewal.
  3. Follow the payment instructions at checkout exactly, so your licence can be activated without delay.
  4. Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.
  5. Chargebacks get you banned permanently. If something is wrong with a payment, contact us first.
  6. Reselling or sharing Trace or a licence without our explicit written permission is prohibited.

Acceptable use

  1. Before asking a player to run the scanner, tell them what it does. The scope page lists exactly what it reads.
  2. Use reports only to moderate your own server. Don't publish a player's report or use it to harass anyone.
  3. No reverse engineering or modifying the scanner, the dashboard or the API, and no attempts to bypass, tamper with or spoof a scan.
  4. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to ask your players to run a scan, and for answering their requests about their reports.

Warranty and liability

  1. Trace is provided "as is". No scanner detects every cheat, and we don't promise that it will.
  2. To the extent the law allows, Trace's total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for Trace in the twelve months before the claim.
  3. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Changes to these terms

  1. We can change these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use Trace after a change means you accept it.
